Complete Emiko setup for every NaviGuard installation. Emiko Ecosystem provides the remote view of available AtoN information and alarms and gives authorised users access to supported functions.
Before You Start
Complete the physical installation and confirm the selected monitoring path:
For direct communication, NaviGuard receives valid current data from the connected AtoN instrument.
For PowerMonitor sensing, NaviGuard detects the current activity used to monitor the powered instrument.
Have authorised access to the applicable customer and remote site in Emiko.
Do This
Open the applicable customer and remote site in Emiko.
Add or select the NaviGuard installation associated with the site.
Add the monitored AtoN instrument and select direct communication or PowerMonitor as its monitoring path.
Associate the current NaviGuard data with the AtoN instrument shown at the site.
Select the available information and alarms that authorised users need to monitor in Emiko.
Configure alarm recipients and the available notification methods, including SMS and email where enabled for the customer.
For direct communication, make only the controls supported by the confirmed instrument model available to authorised users. PowerMonitor sensing does not provide internal instrument settings.
Save the setup and confirm that Emiko shows current data from the correct site and instrument.
Available information and functions
Emiko shows only information and functions supported by the selected monitoring path and confirmed instrument model.
Direct communication can provide model-specific status, alarms, measurements, and supported controls.
PowerMonitor can provide current-activity monitoring for a powered instrument but cannot provide internal instrument status, detailed instrument values, or instrument settings.
Emiko does not present unavailable information as a valid zero value.
Control access follows the authorised Emiko user role.
Verify
The correct customer, site, NaviGuard installation, and AtoN instrument are shown.
Current monitoring data reaches Emiko through the selected monitoring path.
Supported alarms are visible, and a notification test reaches the configured recipients.
Only supported information and controls are shown.
Stale or unavailable data is not presented as a confirmed current value.
If It Fails
Confirm that the physical monitoring path works locally, then check the customer, site, NaviGuard installation, instrument association, internet connection, and user access in Emiko. Record which data is missing or stale before escalating the setup.
