DataGuard

DataGuard is an Emiko-connected data product for collecting, logging, and forwarding measurement data to Emiko for monitoring, history, graphs, and related presentation.

It can be deployed as standalone equipment with connected sensors and inputs. It also serves as the shared DataGuard reporting layer behind products such as OceanWatcher, FlexVander, and WeatherStation.

Equipment Identity

Field Value Use
Equipment name DataGuard Use this name for the standalone product and for the shared reporting layer.
Equipment ID 35 Use with DataGuard equipment-type parameters when the reported value belongs to the DataGuard equipment itself.
Short name DAG Short equipment name used in the equipment reference.
Status Implemented Use the DataGuard setup pages for active DataGuard reporting paths documented in this branch.

What DataGuard Does

Configuration Paths

Choose the path from where the value originates. Configure the source signal or profile first, then configure DataGuard reporting for the same channel or profile index.

Value source Source setup owner DataGuard reporting parameters Product examples Setup page
Analog input Shared Runtime analog input settings VREQT#, VRDATATYPE#, VRLOGMODE#, VRLOGINT#, VRLOGHYS# Standalone DataGuard, WeatherStation wind direction, OceanWatcher water level, FlexVander field values Analog Inputs
1-Wire channel 1-Wire Temperature Monitoring OTEQT#, OTDATATYPE#, OTLOGMODE#, OTLOGINT#, OTLOGHYS# Standalone temperature logging, OceanWatcher temperature, FlexVander field temperature 1-Wire
Driver profile Driver Communication DEVEQT#, DEVDATATYPE#, DEVLOGDATA#, DEVLOGDATAINT#, DEVLOGDATAHYS# WeatherStation Thies package, OceanWatcher LR110/LR120 water level, EM voltage package Driver Communication
Counter or timer Shared Runtime digital inputs and counters VRCEQT#, VRCDATATYPE#, VRCLOGMODE#, VRCLOGINT#, VRCPROFILE# when the selected selector requires a profile Standalone counter/timer logging, WeatherStation wind speed, WeatherStation rain gauge Counters and Timers

Digital input and counter source setup remains on Shared Runtime Digital Inputs and Counters. Use DataGuard via Counters and Timers when a configured counter or operating-time timer must be logged or exported onward to Emiko.

Product Cross-Reference

Product pages explain the product-specific setup first. Use the DataGuard pages for the full DataGuard reporting reference after the product-specific values are known.

Product DataGuard use Key setup values Product page
WeatherStation Weather values from driver profiles, analog wind direction, counter-based wind speed, counter-based rain gauge, and selected 1-Wire channels. DEVEQT#=23, DEVDATATYPE#=8000, VREQT#=23, VRCDATATYPE#=9008, VRCDATATYPE#=9009, VRCPROFILE# WeatherStation DataGuard setup
OceanWatcher Water-level and temperature values from analog inputs, 1-Wire channels, and supported radar driver profiles. VREQT#=20, VRDATATYPE#=9007, DEVEQT#=20, DEVDATATYPE#=9007, direct DEVDATATYPE#=1201 where documented. OceanWatcher Settings
FlexVander Optional field and weather values can be forwarded through DataGuard when the delivered installation includes the matching sensors. Use the DataGuard source path that matches the installed sensor. FlexVander does not own the shared DataGuard selector rules. FlexVander overview

Setup Principle

Connected sensors, inputs, or product-specific functions deliver the raw value. DataGuard determines which equipment type and data type the value belongs to, and how it is logged and forwarded.

This makes DataGuard usable both as a standalone product and as a shared data layer across multiple products while the local sensor setup remains on the relevant product or subsystem page.

Reference Pages

The DataGuard pages explain the end-to-end workflow, activation rules, examples, and DataGuard reporting parameters. The shared subsystem pages keep the source setup and wider subsystem behavior.
