Use this page as the terminal and jumper reference for WeatherStation LX9 eco. The built-in controller is VikMote LX9 eco.

RS485 weather sensors

Use RS485 for supported driver instruments. Configure the driver model and communication settings before configuring DataGuard reporting.

• Connect 485_SGND to the common signal ground for the equipment on the bus.
• Terminate RS485/Modbus at both physical ends of the bus with 120 ohm termination.
• On LX9 eco, TER1 enables endpoint termination for port 1 and TER2 enables endpoint termination for port 2.

Analog weather inputs

Use analog inputs for validated 4-20 mA or 0-10 V transmitters. Viking default for AI1-AI2 is 4-20 mA with JPAI1-JPAI2 installed.

Use Analog Transmitter Wiring before configuring the DataGuard analog reporting parameters.

Digital and counter inputs

Use digital input or counter wiring only when the connected instrument and delivered setup support the required WeatherStation value.

Use 1-Wire for simple temperature measurement where the delivered WeatherStation setup includes a 1-Wire temperature sensor.

Hardware jumper reference

JPAI1-JPAI2	AI1-AI2 input type.	Installed for 4-20 mA transmitter use. Hardware range is 0-20 mA.	The transmitter nameplate/datasheet specifies 0-10 V voltage output.
TER1 / TER2	RS485 endpoint termination.	Installed = 120 ohm termination enabled.	The port is not at a physical end of the RS485 bus.
JP101	DCOUT voltage.	24 V DC-Out.	The connected equipment nameplate/datasheet requires 12 V DC-Out.
