Analog instruments

Instrument Connection path WeatherStation use Setup
Thermo/Hygro transmitter 2 x AI Temperature and humidity through analog transmitter signals. Analog
Wind direction transmitter AI Wind direction from a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V analog signal, including current, 2-minute, 10-minute, spread, and state/QC reporting when DataGuard selectors are configured. Analog
NRG 200M wind vane Voltage AI WeatherStation wind direction through DataGuard selector VRDATATYPE# 9012. The selector uses the 0.007 to 2.5 VDC signal and formula degrees = volts * 147.91 - 1.460. Use VRTYPE#=2, 4, or 5; do not use 4-20 mA. Assisted
RNRG/NRG 200P wind vane Voltage AI WeatherStation wind direction through DataGuard selector VRDATATYPE# 9013. Use VRTYPE#=2, 4, or 5, and set TMIN#/TMAX# to the conditioned post-input signal range in mV, normally 0 and 2500, 5000, or 10000. Do not use 9012 for 200P. Assisted
Generic 4-20 mA or 0-10 V transmitter AI Project-specific temperature, pressure, level, humidity, or other analog value. Analog

Digital input and counter instruments

Instrument Connection path WeatherStation use Setup status
Pronamic / Rain Gauge Professional DI/high-speed counter input Tipping-bucket precipitation through DataGuard selector VRCDATATYPE# 9009 on a supported X32/NX32/NX32L high-speed counter input with TIN#=1 and rain profiles 2..5: 0,2, 0,1, 0,25, or 0,5 mm/tip. Assisted
Rain Gauge and Snow sensor Meteorological DI/counter pulse input and related field-instrument setup Precipitation and snow-related meteorological registration. Assisted
Generic pulse instrument DI/counter pulse input Meter pulses, pulse flow, or other count-based field values. Assisted
Thies 4.3519 cup anemometer via counter input (wind speed) DI/high-speed counter input Counter-based WeatherStation wind speed through DataGuard selector VRCDATATYPE# 9008, VRCPROFILE#=1, supported X32/NX32/NX32L high-speed counter input, and delivered installation wiring. The profile uses V = 0.07881 * f + 0.32. Assisted
NRG 40C anemometer Conditioned DI/high-speed counter pulse input Counter-based WeatherStation wind speed through DataGuard selector VRCDATATYPE# 9010 with VRCPROFILE#=6. The profile uses m/s = Hz * 0.765 + 0.35. Because NRG 40C is a low-level AC sine-wave sensor, use it only with signal conditioning or a verified clean countable pulse path into the controller input. Assisted
NRG 40H Hall-effect anemometer DI/high-speed counter input with external supply and pull-up Counter-based WeatherStation wind speed through DataGuard selector VRCDATATYPE# 9011 with VRCPROFILE#=7. The profile uses m/s = Hz * 0.765 + 0.35. The open-collector Hall output requires external supply and pull-up wiring for a countable controller input signal. Assisted

Wind-speed selectors 9008, 9010, and 9011 use the same DataGuard child output values for quality/status, 2-minute speed and gust, and 10-minute speed and gust. v1 supports a maximum of two active wind-speed VRC slots across those selectors.

1-Wire instruments
