Emiko uses a role-based ownership model. Different organizations and users enter the ecosystem with different responsibilities and different rights.
Vikingegaarden
Vikingegaarden is the platform owner. Vikingegaarden can onboard Resellers, onboard Partners directly, make equipment available, and support managed operation when needed.
Reseller
A Reseller is an Emiko Organization with extended reseller permissions. A Reseller may have administrator access in Emiko Console.
A Reseller can create Partner Organizations.
A Reseller cannot create another Reseller.
A Reseller can receive assignable equipment and forward it into the correct Emiko Site.
A Reseller can support setup, configuration, and operation on behalf of a Partner.
A Reseller can see an overview of the Partners it has onboarded and then enter a selected Emiko Site to work there.
Partner
A Partner is an Emiko Organization that owns and operates its own Emiko Sites. A Partner may have administrator access in Emiko Console for those sites. This can for example be a harbor, marina, farm, municipality, industrial customer, or port operator.
The Partner controls who gets access.
The Partner controls what access includes.
The Partner controls how external and internal users may operate within the granted scope.
The Partner is not locked to the Reseller that originally onboarded it.
Customer
A Customer is a user of Emiko App. A Customer may be an individual, employee, company, organization, contractor, guest, or service user. Customers work within the scope granted by the relevant Partner and Emiko Site.
Ownership And Relationship Control
The Partner is the center of operational ownership inside Emiko.
Resellers can onboard and support, but they do not replace the Partner's ownership of access.
Customers can act only inside the access scope that has been granted.
Rights depend on roles, Partner relationships, and granted permissions.
Administrator access is a permission level, not a main role name.
What Comes Next
The next step is to understand how organizations and equipment enter the ecosystem.
