vNet uses fixed positions for supported ADAM I/O expansion modules.
Each position is tied to one module family. When that position is enabled during configuration, the channels from that module are added to the system.
The fixed position and the fixed vNet node belong together in the standard vNet layout. They are not selected freely during setup.
Use the table below to see which module type belongs to each fixed position and how many extra channels it adds when enabled.

The positions are fixed. Only enabled modules add channels to the system.
Relay output modules still become output channels in the system. Their final channel numbering is explained on I/O mapping.
