Shared Runtime Diagnostics and Service Commands

Use this page for shared runtime commands that help identify the equipment, review runtime status, and perform controlled service actions.

Use status and identification commands when commissioning, support, or service work needs a quick runtime check.
Use service commands only when the operating effect is understood before the command is sent.

Status and Identification

Use these commands when the installation must be identified, when support needs version or license information, or when stored runtime status must be reviewed.

Use RECSHOW when support needs to review stored recipients and selected runtime information.
Use VER, SIGNAL, and LICENSEINFO when the current runtime identity, signal level, or license status must be confirmed.

Command	Function
`RECSHOW`	Shows stored recipients and selected runtime information.
`VER`	Shows firmware version and serial number.
`SIGNAL`	Shows the current mobile signal strength.
`LICENSEINFO`	Shows installed licenses and related license information.

HOST Diagnostics

Use HOST diagnostics when support needs to separate stored communication settings from the live communication state.

HOST1 and HOST2 show stored configuration.
HOST4 shows live diagnostic state. Use it when the current Gateway connection or backend communication timing must be checked.

Command	Function
`HOST1`	Shows stored Internet and Mobile configuration. Use `HOST4` when live mobile state or current mobile IP must be checked.
`HOST2`	Shows stored Gateway settings, including enabled state, host, port, retry, timeout, and keep-alive settings.
`HOST3`	Requests GSM provider information. The provider scan is sent separately, and the command reply confirms that the scan output is sent separately.
`HOST4`	Shows live GSM, network, Gateway, and backend diagnostic state.

HOST4 Fields

Read these fields in the HOST4 reply when troubleshooting Gateway and backend communication.

Field	Meaning
`GW`	Gateway/RCH connected when the diagnostic was generated.
`GWUP`	Current Gateway/RCH connection age.
`ASGOK`	Age of the last successful backend/Asgaard communication, or `never`.
`MIP`	Current mobile IP.
`GWCFG`	Stored Gateway configuration. This part of the reply may be split across SMS chunks.

Service Actions

Use these commands only during controlled service work where the operating effect is understood in advance.

Use category: Manual or service use only.
Use TEST before deeper service work when the command path itself must be verified.
Use RESTART or RESET only when a temporary service interruption is acceptable and affected users have been warned in advance.

Test Reply

Use this command when a quick confirmation is needed that the equipment can receive a command and return a reply.

TEST is useful before troubleshooting more specific runtime or communication problems.

Command	Function
`TEST`	Sends a fixed test reply that confirms connectivity and reports the equipment serial number.

Restart

Use this command when the equipment can be taken temporarily out of normal operation.

Command Function

RESTART

Restarts the full runtime in the equipment.

Active runtime functions and communication are temporarily interrupted.
Use it only when a temporary service interruption is acceptable.
Stored settings are not reset.

Reset

Use this command only when the equipment can be taken temporarily out of normal operation and deleting its stored configuration is intended.

Command Function

RESET

Resets the equipment to default values and deletes all stored data and parameters.

The reset can take up to 10 minutes to complete.
All stored data is deleted and all parameters are reset to default values.
Licenses and passwords are not changed.
If the equipment is connected to Emiko, the reset is followed by a full synchronization with the backend.
The equipment may restart several times.
