Shared Runtime Service Mode

Use this page to configure how runtime temporarily disables and re-enables surveillance during service work.

The listed default values can be changed to match the installation.
Service mode is intended to suppress unwanted alarms during maintenance without leaving surveillance disabled permanently.
Configure the activation method and the timer together so service work can be carried out safely and surveillance still returns automatically afterwards.

When to Use This Page

Use this page when the installation needs a controlled way to suppress surveillance during service work.
Use it when maintenance may trigger alarms that should not be sent as real operating alarms.
Use it also when service mode must be started locally by digital input or remotely by SMS.

Use this setting to temporarily disable surveillance from a local service input.

Use this when local service work is carried out on the monitored installation.
Surveillance is automatically re-enabled after the configured period.
If the push button is pressed twice within 4 seconds, surveillance is re-enabled immediately.
Each activation restarts the timer and therefore extends the automatic re-enable time.

Use this setting to allow service mode to be started remotely by SMS.

Use this when service work is performed remotely or when no local push button is available.
Choose whether runtime should return an SMS acknowledgement when service mode is changed remotely.
Surveillance is automatically re-enabled after the configured period.

Use this setting to define how long surveillance stays disabled before it is restored automatically.

Review service handling before commissioning so maintenance can be performed without leaving surveillance disabled unintentionally.
Set the timer to a realistic service window so surveillance returns automatically if service staff forget to switch it back on.
Use remote service control only when the operational procedure includes verification that service mode has ended correctly.
